I'm not a fan of dry, technical jargon. I believe that data concepts can be explained in a way that everyone can understand, and that's what I aim to do here. I take those complex topics and break them down, using real-world examples and analogies so you can see how they apply to your life and work.

My goal is to go deep into any Data & Analytics topic that sparks my curiosity. Whether it is something I am currently working on, or an area that I just find interesting.

About Me

Hi, I'm Luis Arteaga, and I'm a Lead Consultant at INFOMOTION, over in the Hamburg area of Germany. I'm really passionate about data – not just the numbers, but how we can actually use data to understand things better and make smarter decisions.

My career journey began in marketing management. That's where I saw how powerful data could be for businesses. I wanted a deeper understanding, so I transitioned into the data world itself. For over five years now, I've been immersed in roles like Data Scientist, Analytics Engineer, and now Data Engineer, gaining experience at great companies like INFOMOTION and Lotto24 AG.

What I do now as a Consultant is help all sorts of clients build data systems that are, well, good! We're talking systems that can grow with their needs (scalable), that don't fall apart when things get tough (resilient), and where all the data works together nicely (integrated).

Beyond the Data

When I'm not knee-deep in data, I love to read. Science Fiction, technical books, you name it! I'm also big on staying active – running, circuit training, and some Yoga to keep things balanced.
